Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy is confirmed killed in the chopper crash.  Five bodies have been recovered by Army commandos from the hillock on which the chopper had crashed.

CM's Chopper traced in mangled state, chances of survival bleak

The chopper, which was used by Chief Minister Dr Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, has been traced in a mangled state over Rudrakod Hill, around 40 nautical miles from Kurnool.  IAF commandos  are trying to land on the hillock for ground inspection.  The chances of survival of the passengers appear to be bleak.  The Prime Minister is chairing a high-level meeting to review the situation, which would also be joined by Sonia Gandhi.
